Does O-PC-3 support Thunderbolt?

O-PC-3 does not support Thunderbolt. However, O-PC-3 supports DisplayPort Alt-mode which all Thunderbolt laptops also supports.

Can I have two screens connected to O-PC-3?

O-PC-3 has only one HDMI output. However, you can add a USB-to-HDMI adapter on one of the USB-A Passthrough ports to support a secondary screen.

Can I get internet connection using the Ethernet port?

Yes, by using a USB/Ethernet adapter connected to one of the USB Passthrough ports. Note that only the presenting person will get internet through that connection.

If doing a daisy chain installation, any limitations?

O-PC-3 daisy-chain does not support USB 3.0 communication and not more than 2 additional USB hubs.

How can I connect my video bar to O-PC-3 if the distance is long between the wall and the table?

If the distance is longer than 5m you need to use an extender solution. For more information, please check Verified 3rd party cables/extenders

What's the difference between O-DO-X and O-SWO-X sockets

O-DO-X sockets only have a USB-C outlet while O-SWO-X sockets also includes a LED button to control switching between laptops.

What does the color of the SWO button LED mean?

White = Charging, Blue = Active MTR Mode/Content Ingest, Orange = BYOD Mode Active.

Can I extend the cable to the DO/SWO sockets?

No, it's not possible as the USB-C standard limit the length of the cable to 2m. Ochno products are designed to comply 100% with the USB-C standard.

Can I use any USB-C cable with O-PC-3?

As the USB-C standard has a strict requirement specification to fulfill operation, we only recommend to use Ochno cables which we have designed 100% complying to the standard. You can also use Ochno approved/recommended 3rd-party cables. For more information, please checkVerified 3rd party cables/extenders

What if I don't have a USB-C port on my laptop?

You can use the Ochno O-HDMI-TO-USBC-2 adapter. Connect it to the HDMI and USB-A port of your laptop and you will access all devices/features on the O-PC-3 via one USB-C cable.

Can I control O-PC-3 from my Crestron room controller?

Yes, by using the Ochno O-RS232-200-1 adapter.

What's the purpose of the "USB Passthrough" ports on O-PC-3?

The ports are used to connect USB audio/video peripherals, such as cameras, speakerphones and videobars.

What's the purpose of the "IO Devices" ports on O-PC-3?

The ports are used to connect Ochno adapters, such as O-PC-DC-3 and O-SBC-200-1.

Does O-PC-3 support DisplayPort Alt-Mode?

Yes, O-PC-3 supports DisplayPort Alt-mode 1.4.

Do I need an installed DisplayLink driver (or any other driver) on my laptop?

No driver needed.

What's the purpose of the included antenna?

The antenna is used for wifi connection to access our cloud based management platform, Ochno Operated.

Does O-PC-3 support PoE?

No, the included power supply is required.

Can I use O-PC-3 for Digital Signage?

O-PC-3 does not have built-in support for Digital Signage.

If I have configured O-PC-3 to use WiFi, will it fallback to Ethernet cable if WiFi is lost?

No, O-PC-3 uses either Ethernet cable or WiFi depending on the configuration.

Does O-PC-3 support CEC?

Yes, you can activate/deactivate CEC using Ochno Management Console or via our cloud based management system, Ochno Operated.

Does O-PC-3 have built-in EDID?

No, an external EDID adapter is required on the HDMI port.

What's the warranty on O-PC-3?

3 years warranty is included. However, additional 2 year warranty can be purchased for an additional fee.

What audio/video USB devices works with O-PC-3?

O-PC-3 supports all devices that has support for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. For more information, please check CONFLUENCE LINK.

Can I use my Mac with O-PC-3?

Yes

Does O-PC-3 support screens in 21:9 format?

O-PC-3 supports HDMI 2.0 and it is transparent to which resolution the laptop and the screen will decide. However, the actual available bandwidth can still limit the maximum resolution.

Does O-PC-3 support both USB2.0 and USB3.0 audio video devices?

Yes

If I connect my iPhone to O-PC-3, can I share the mobile screen to the external screen?

Yes, if you have an Iphone 15 Pro you can mirror the mobile screen and use external speakers for audio.

Which video platforms can I use with OPC-3?

O-PC-3 supports all UC/video platforms (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet...),  running on laptops. It also works with dedicated in-room solutions as Microsoft Teams Room and Zoom Room.

What's the difference between O-PC-3 and O-PC-3-SINGLE?

Compared to O-PC-3, O-PC-3-SINGLE has only video support on one USB-C port. The SINGLE version is a locked-down version.

If I have an O-PC-3-SINGLE, can I upgrade it to an O-PC-3?

Yes, it's possible with a O-PC-3-UPGRADE licens fee.

If I have an MTR (Microsoft Teams Room), how can I then use O-PC-3?

With O-PC-3 you can easily switch between BYOD mode and MTR content ingest. The switch can be done manually or dynamic/automatic depending on the configuration. See support section for additional details.

I want to use Ochno Operated for cloud management, do I still need to use Ochno Management Console?

You need to use OMC to associate an O-PC-3 with your Ochno Operated account and configure WIFI settings if needed. Once done, everything else can be managed from Ochno Operated

What's an account and Space?

With an Ochno Operated account, you can have several Spaces. A Space can be a company, office location, a floor plan... Within each Space, several O-PC-3s' can be grouped and managed in Ochno Operated.

Can I have remote logging of my O-PC-3?

Yes, when subscribing to a Ochno Operated license you can remotely get logs and live data from each O-PC-3.

Can I remotely see what's connected to my O-PC-3?

Yes, when subscribing to a Ochno Operated license you can see the connected screen and USB audio/video devices using the Discovery feature.

Can I use Ochno Operated all over the world?

Ochno Operated works in all countries that has unfiltered access to Amazon Web Services. It also works in China.

How do I get access to Ochno Operated?

How much power can each O-PC-3 USB type-C port provide?

Each USB-C port can provide maximum 100W charging to the laptop. Total available power is 180W. O-PC-3 will dynamically distribute the power if several laptops are connected at the same time.

If four laptops are connected to O-PC-3, will all be charged?
