Release note - Ochno Power Conference 4 & Node

Ochno Power Conference 4 (OPC4) is updated using Ochno Operated or Ochno Management Console.

Ochno Power Conference 4 Node (OPC4-Node) is updated through an OPC4 when new firmware is released.
Connect it with a USB-C cable from OPC4-Node input → OPC4 extension, or OPC4-Node extension → OPC4 input.

  • New: Select port roles for user ports. This is an advanced setting that changes the way a connected user device communicates with the O-PC-4.

  • New: Turn off USB3 on USB-C passthrough-ports. This setting will only specifically disable the USB3 protocol, not USB as a whole.

  • New: Turn off USB passthrough when system is not used. This setting will disable downstream equipment when no port is active or when nothing is connected on active port.

  • Improved: Automatic switching in daisy-chain topologies.

  • Improved: Communication setup in daisy-chain topologies after power cycling.

  • Improved: Video and USB stability and performance, including:

    • User experience when connecting to Cisco video bars using USB-C.

    • User experience when connecting to Lenovo Thinksmart Core Gen2 using USB-C.

    • User experience when connecting to Yealink A40 using USB-C.

    • Video stability when using Apple MacBooks.

    • USB3 stability when connecting device via USB-C pass-through ports.

    • Better support for charging older HP and Dell laptops.

  • Improved: Support for connecting Windows MTR using USB-C to USB-C cable on UC port.

  • Improved: OTA Firmware update stability and performance.

  • Improved: Communication with Ochno Management Console.

  • Changed: Default power role on laptop ports is now DRP (Dual Role Port) default Sink. This improves compatibility when connecting computers using a USB-C to USB-A cable.

  • Fixed an issue where USB error notifications appeared on laptops when using Windows UC configuration.

  • Fixed an issue where Administrator mode password was required, even if no password was set.

  • Fixed an issue where setting "Disable buttons for port" and "Disable port when it is not active" did not perform on a per-port basis.

  • Fixed an issue where O-PC-4 and O-PC-4-Node LEDs did not show the correct state.
